Membership of the Group is either by ;
- Application (send mail to the National Secretariat on your area of interest) or
- Nomination by the State Council
Responsibility: Respective groups are to conduct research, develop techniques,
produce technical guidance and inform the public through the National Secretariat of
global development in their respective areas.
The Chairman’s Responsibility
The term of Chairs shall not exceed four years. Chairs may be re-elected for one additional term of four years.
- Hold (at least) two WG meetings per year, in-person or online, with associated follow-ups with hosting arrangements (i.e. reaching out to members to request to host a WG meeting).
- Responsible for the follow-up (or management thereof) of action items stemming from WG meetings.
- Working Group relates to WAMSAON-funded initiatives/projects, generally on pro-bono basis (or delegate to an appropriate WG member with continued follow-ups/check-ins).
- Collaborate with other WAMASON Working Groups as may be relevant to the WG.
- Strive to engage WG members.
- Shall hold a session at the WAMASON Summit depending on the program.
- Participate in the technical organisation of WAMASON Summit (including but not limited to technical plan, call for abstracts, paper review, and session coordination).
- Approve/decline request of individual WG members to join the WG.
- Respond to requests from the Technical Committee.
- Draft quarterly reports (one-slide presentation) on WG activities to be presented during the Technical Committee meeting.
- The Chair is expected to work with the Vice-Chair for all the above matters.
